Continuing Education at Staffing World 2012

By attending the keynote sessions, Knowledge Network roundtables, and immersion programs and workshops at Staffing World, you can earn up to 12.5 of the 30 CE hours required for certification renewal—including more than half of the required hours for legal continuing education.

Staffing Industry Elite

ASA promotes legal, ethical, and professional practices for the staffing industry. Staffing firm owners, executives, managers, recruiters, and other employees committed to legal, ethical, and professional practices earn CSP™ and TSC™ certifications from ASA.

More than 6,000 staffing professionals have been certified by ASA. Those in this elite group have objectively demonstrated their understanding of state and federal employment laws as they relate to staffing company operations, as well as commitment to the ASA Code of Ethics and Good Practices.

To earn the CSP certification, individuals must pass a 100-question exam taken in two hours. They prepare for the exam by studying ASA course materials, including Employment Law for Staffing Professionals, Co-Employment: Employer Liability Issues in Third-Party Staffing Arrangements, federal and state employment law workbooks, and supplemental learning tools.

To earn the TSC certification, staffing professionals study content related to technical staffing and must answer 20 additional questions in the two-hour exam; those who earn the TSC certification automatically earn the CSP certification.

After earning these certifications, certified professionals maintain their credentials through continuing education programs offered by ASA and other approved providers. Certified individuals must complete at least 30 hours of approved continuing education every three years. At least six of the 30 CE hours must pertain to employment law.
